Financing an excavator for your business through leasing

An excavator is a major investment for many contracting, groundwork and demolition companies. Financing an excavator through leasing lets you put the machine into operation without tying up the full amount at once. Instead, you pay a fixed, predictable payment over the agreed period, while the machine creates value and earns its keep.

At Leasing Helper we send your needs out to tender with several lessors, so you can get the best and cheapest offer on the specific excavator you have found, instead of collecting offers one at a time. This gives a better basis for the payment, term and residual value, and often a greater chance of credit approval.

Which excavators can you lease?

We help you find the best leasing agreement on the excavator you have found, regardless of brand and model. Is the excavator you are looking for missing from the list? Fill in the form anyway. We help with leasing of virtually all excavators, both new and used.

Compact excavators (up to approx. 10 tonnes) — well suited to smaller contracting tasks, sewer work, urban projects and places with limited space.

Medium-sized excavators (10-25 tonnes) — the most widely used excavators for groundwork, earthmoving, utility projects and general contracting tasks.

Large excavators (over 25 tonnes) — for larger civil engineering projects, demolition, quarrying and heavy excavation work.

Special-purpose excavators — for example long-reach excavators, wheeled excavators or models for demolition and other special tasks.

Accessories for excavators — hydraulic hammers, sorting grabs, earth augers, tiltrotators, various buckets and other equipment can often be included in the same leasing agreement.

Common brands on the market include Caterpillar (CAT), Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo CE, Hyundai, JCB and SANY, but simply describe the excavator you need, regardless of brand.

Why businesses choose to lease excavators

Keep your liquidity. No large one-off expense at purchase. Spread the payments over the life of the equipment.

Tax benefits. Lease payments can typically be deducted as a running operating expense, so you avoid long depreciation schedules and free up capital for other investments.

Create budget certainty - Pay a fixed monthly payment over the agreed period.

Tailor the financing - The agreement can be structured around the type of machine, price, use and expected lifetime.

Keep your fleet up to date - Easier to switch to a newer machine or a different weight class when your tasks change.

Using Leasing Helper is free and non-binding.

How quickly will I get an answer?

It usually takes 24-48 hours.

There may be questions about what is to be leased or about the company's finances that make the response time longer. Weekends and public holidays are not included.

What can you lease as a contractor?

Among other things excavators, mini excavators, trenchers, skid steer loaders, dumpers, lifts, cranes and trailers.

We rarely come across equipment and fixtures that cannot be leased. Send an enquiry and we will look into it.

We do not help with leasing cars.

Am I committed to anything when I fill in the form?

No, it is free and non-binding.

Can I lease if my company is new / has a low credit rating?

Yes, it is often possible.

Many believe that leasing is only for established companies with strong accounts, but there are lessors with different requirements and assessment models. That is why it can be hard to find, on your own, the providers that match your exact situation.

At Leasing Helper we search the market for you and find the leasing options where the chance of approval is greatest. Although we cannot guarantee approval, we can often find options that the company would not have found on its own.

How long can you lease a mini excavator for?

It depends on the provider and the contract. Always agree clearly who pays for service, repairs, wear parts and insurance.

What happens when the lease expires?

It depends on the agreement. Typically it is a purchase at an agreed residual value, an extension, or return of the equipment.
